JOB SUMMARY:
Position available in Cape Winelands for an experienced Production Manager with Plastics Injection Moulding management experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties & Responsibilities

• Monitor and present production performance KPI’s daily;
• Maintain necessary record and documentation as required;
• Conduct regular housekeeping inspections to ensure a high level of neatness, cleanliness and tidiness is maintained

• Maintaining Skills matrix for production staff indicating skill lever requirements for production staff;
• Investigation into root cause of product and/or quality deviations/issues and the implementation of corrective action;

• Ensure plant is running efficiently and within cost and quality parameters ensuring line utilization at planned maximum;
• Management of setters, shift leaders and their teams;
• Maintaining scrap rate within acceptable Company levels;
• Manage and contain manpower costs - ensure subordinates maintain acceptable work standards and discipline;
• Manage and support SHEQ initiatives and objectives;

Desired Experience & Qualification

Degree in Engineering/Operations Management
Minimum of 5 years’ Plastics Injection Moulding management experience.
Excellent communication, numeracy and computer literacy skills.
Good people management skills and management of staff.
