Production Manager

Our client has a senior position available for a Production Manager based in Groblersdal.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Agriculture.
• 5+ years in a similar role and an understanding of grapes agriculture.
• Flexible work hours.
• Good physical health.
• Clear criminal record.
• The ability to speak and understand English or Afrikaans.
• The knowledge of prices and quantities.

Responsibilities:

• Issue verbal and written instructions to production labour teams.
• Manage time and attendance for labour teams.
• Identify an operate several different tools.
• Train labour teams.
• Identify and report potential safety and security issues.
• Provide input into costs and budgets.
• Manage irrigation, fertilizer, pest control and weed and fungus control programmes.
• Monitor the use of farming equipment and machinery.
• Supervise all steps of the production process.
