We are looking for an experienced Production Manager with a background in Meat Processing to join our team in Heidelberg
QUALIFICATIONSDiploma/Degree in Production Management/ Operations Management or business related
EXPERIENCEMinimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar position in a Meat Processing environment.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED· Basic Knowledge of HACCP
· Knowledge of quality assurance
· Knowledge of production planning
· Food safety and good manufacturing practices
· Ability to report on agreed KPA’s
- Excellent business English, both verbal and written
- Established proficiency in MS Office with emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint and AX would be advantageous
- Proven statistical and analytical ability
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work in highly stressed and complex situations

· Assess Projects and resource requirements
· Effectively order raw materials from the suppliers for
production
· Estimate, negotiate and manage budgets and timescales
with clients and managers
· Ensure that Health and Safety regulations are met in your department and in the factory
· Determine quality control standards on products
developed
· Oversee Production processes within your area of
responsibilities
· Manage stock and raw material movement to ensure
enough stock availability.
· Organise the repair and routine maintenance of
production equipment
· Effective plan and execute customer order through
accurate production numbers
· Organise relevant training sessions in your department
· Delivering results and meeting customer expectations
· Develop standard operating process where they don’t exist
and manage execution these procedures in your
department.
· Manage your stakeholders to ensure you deliver excellent
customer experience
· Manage suppliers of the raw materials to ensure quality of
raw material and that raw materials are always available for
productions
· Manage quality of productions and minimise or eliminate
waste
3. OTHER DUTIES· Manage and support
SHEQ initiatives and objectives.
· Define, propose and implement the annual production.
· Cost management of products and assist with new
product costings models.
· Analyse budgets and continuously control production
costs and identify/rectify waste measures.
· Manage all activities within the production process,
including maintenance and the workforce.
· Handle logistics, warehousing and stock of raw materials
used in production.
· Manage all teams within your production department
(contracts/leave/pay).
· Create and implement organisational/production changes
on an operative level.
· Focus on growing business and revenue by implementing
necessary changes to product/production line to enter
new markets or grow existing territories.
