SUMMARY:
Gijima Staffing Solutions on behalf of a client is recruiting for a Production Planner with strong manufacturing / plastics industry experience.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

Matric
Qualification in Business management or related field
Minimum of 3 years proven experience as a production planner
Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
Microsoft office and ERP systems knowledge

Responsibilities:
Production Scheduling:

Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, available resources, and production capacities.
Coordinate with various departments such as procurement, manufacturing, and sales to ensure smooth production flow.

Inventory Management:

Monitor and manage inventory levels as well as stock movements to meet production needs without overstocking or stockouts.
Work closely with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components for production.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate production records, including schedules, inventory levels, and performance metrics.
Prepare and present reports on production efficiency, capacity utilization, and any deviations from planned schedules.

Collaboration and Communication:

Liaise with various departments to communicate production schedules, changes, and updates.
Coordinate with sales teams to ensure production meets customer demands and delivery timelines.

Process Improvement:

Identify inefficiencies in production processes and implement improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and propose solutions for continuous improvement.

Capacity Planning:

Evaluate and plan production capacities in alignment with demand forecasts and available resources.
