SUMMARY:
Our client in the FMCG industry has an EE opportunity available for a Production Planner in the Cape Town area.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

Minimum of Grade 12
Degree or diploma tertiary qualification in production/supply chain
Qualification with financial component
A minimum of 5 years working experience in a Planning capacity or similar roles within a manufacturing environment, preferably food industry and 3 yrs working experience on ERP/MPR driven environment
Knowledge of techniques and equipment for manufacturing food products
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of food products
Short shelf life production knowledge (within food & beverage industry)
Computer skills: specifically ERP/MRP software, Excel
Attention to detail
Own car and valid driver''s license will be advantageous

KPAs:

Prepare the weekly production forecast
Total production volumes are drawn weekly and communicate to all relevant role players
Production forecast is retrieved, orders confirmed and capture at required deadline
Ensure that that all resources remain available to deliver the production plan timeously and without deviations
Ensure that Confirmed and unconfirmed figures are captured
Identify and Drive process improvements to reduce product cost/litre
Ensure the capturing of all figures on the ERP System
Identify and streamline existing procedures and implement improvements
All operational risks are identified, rated and documented on the risk register
Schedule production plan to align with food safety and quality requirements
