JOB SUMMARY:
Opportunity Available!! Our well known client in the Automotive Sector is looking to employ a Production Planner to join their dynamic team in Rosslyn.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Functional Definition

To ensure components are planned according to customers’ requirements

Job Description:

Evaluate customer order book and develop production schedule to meet customer lead times and Site
Efficiency mandates
Issue Production forecast based on resource availability (machines, materials and labour requirements)
Compile an effective weekly/daily planning schedule ensuring level loading and related planning methodology is used
Optimise Work in Process inventory levels as per policy
Generate and issue work orders to the Manufacturing Teams daily
Prepare and distribute Daily Production Efficiency Reports
Ensure all stock is backflushed/reconciled daily
Production plan to satisfy customer lead times
Meet On Time in Full (OTIF) customer delivery requirements
Update Work Order run balances every morning
Update production plan every day
Zero SSN’s
Close off and File all completed work orders
Prepare MPS
Update stock graphs
Prepare for daily planning meeting if required, Supervise Subordinates
Ensure parts are run on time for customer requirements

Minimum Qualification and Experience

National Diploma in Supply Chain Management/Logistics/Operations Management
3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
Automotive industry is advantageous
Experience in sequencing and scheduling of Inventory
Production planning is required
