Production Planner Durban

• National Diploma/Degree – Industrial Engineering, Production/Manufacturing Management or similar discipline
• Minimum 2 years’ working experience in Automotive Industry
• Minimum 2 years’ working experience in Operational Management in a motor industry manufacturing environment
• Product, production & process knowledge
• Knowledge of Customer Specific Requirements
• Knowledge of Production Planning techniques
• Knowledge of Capacity planning
• Knowledge of Overall Equipment Effectiveness
• Knowledge of Material management
• Knowledge of MRP systems
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing
• Knowledge of Problem-Solving techniques
• Knowledge of Quality standards & ISO systems

Process Control:

Receive customer releases and capture / upload in ERP.
• Schedule and monitor production
• Update the daily production plan based on changes in customer requirement, material and manufacturing constraints
• Communicate the production schedules to the relevant stakeholders
• Conduct MRP maintenance (demand and supply alignment)
• Plan and maintain finished goods stock days and report daily on the status (shortages / overstocked

Planning:

ERP Job card release to cover daily requirements
• Assist in planning, organising and supporting production meetings and workshops
• KPI administration: assist in implementing, reviewing and updating production objectives (internal, management & customer targets)
• CIP: Monitor, administer and report plant CIP activities and process improvement (implement continuous improvement initiatives)

Production Management:

Optimise the production process
• Report on manufacturing and production efficiencies
• Ensure optimal and efficient use of resources
• Monitor the achievement of daily production target and set back-to-track plan
• Analyse daily variances and identify opportunities for improvements

Raw Material:

Monitor the level of production material to ensure sufficient material to support production
• Identify and process waste
• Conduct stock take
