Production Team Leader

SUMMARY:
Our client based Lagos, Nigeria is looking for Production Team Leader to manage the performance and output of production teams and cells

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications

• Diploma in production and supervision
• Diploma in operations and quality management is advantageous
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role

Competencies

• Knowledge of pre-payment and revenue management products
• Knowledge of basic mechanics, pneumatics and product assembly
• Knowledge of test equipment, assembly jigs and fixtures
• Knowledge of IPC 610 D and E (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies)
• Knowledge of labour relations

Responsibilities

• Optimise available labour and equipment resources to meet production targets
• Review hourly performances against target and provide feedback on under-achievement
• Ensure Sim1 boards are populated daily with relevant and up to date information
• Ensure that all company rules relating to discipline, time and attendance, behaviour, 5S and H&S are adhered to
• Ensure that all products are built to the required quality standards
• Work towards effective Non-Quality Cost reduction
• On time delivery of production orders and commitments as per production lead times.
• Suggest and promote continuous improvement ideas on current products and processes
• Assist Training Officer in training of staff on current and new processes
• Constructively participate as a member of the wider team
• Undertake any other tasks or one-off projects which may be assigned from time to time
• Ensure protection of the company’s commercial interests always and in all circumstances
• Take all practicable steps to ensure personal safety and the safety of others as a matter of priority
• Demonstrate professional skill and a high standard of fairness and integrity
