SUMMARY:
We are seeking a hands-on Production Technician with a strong presence on the factory floor and a passion for efficient manufacturing and innovative production technology. This role focuses on precise line set-ups, optimising equipment performance, and resolving technical issues in real time—ensuring consistent output in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.

POSITION INFO:

Job Description:

Set up production lines accurately and efficiently in line with operational requirements
Perform tool changes and ensure correct set-up procedures across all manufacturing equipment
Optimise machine performance to maximise uptime, improve efficiency, and reduce waste
Configure and support feeders, drillers, and coilers, including fine adjustments where required
Capture order details and parameters on the Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
Assist with production planning and scheduling to maintain workflow continuity
Provide technical support during breakdowns and carry out repairs to minimise downtime
Support maintenance activities, equipment installations, and continuous improvement initiatives
Monitor and manage critical wear parts and consumables to ensure consistent availability
Contribute to process improvements by applying practical, innovative solutions to enhance production performance

Skills & Experience:

Strong hands-on technical ability with a proactive, solution-driven mindset
Ability to work independently and apply sound problem-solving skills
Willingness to provide after-hours support when required
Adaptable and effective in a high-pressure, fast-paced production environment
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Numerate with basic computer literacy
Approximately 5 years’ experience in a similar production or manufacturing environment
Exposure to modern production technologies and automated systems is advantageous
Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport

Qualifications:

N4 Electrical / Electronic qualification or qualified Artisan / Millwright
Red Seal Trade Certificate
