Germiston, Johannesburg
R50 000 – R75 000 (depending on experience)

Sheet Metal Work Manufacturing company in Germiston is looking for a Production and Factory Manager to join their team. The Production and Factory Manager will be responsible for ensuring technical management, supervision, and control of production processes.

All Department Supervisors will report directly to the Production and Factory Manager

Minimum requirements:
Relevant diplomas or degrees would be beneficial

Strong background in engineering and production management

Extensive knowledge of sheet metal production and processes (Essential)

Sheet Metal Knowledge : Laser Cutting, CNC Bending, Pressed Inserts, Welding, Grinding, Powder coating and assembly
Strong Interpersonal Skills and the ability to manage a team of 65-70 staff members
Bilingual is essential, multilingual would beneficial

Duties and responsibilities:
Chairing daily production meeting
Manage production supervisors and other staff
Communicate with the sales office regarding late deliveries
Responsible for staff training for the production and factory
Machine maintenance planning
Planning and organising production schedules
Managing HR – clock-in times, Sick notes, Overtime, Wages, Staff employment and contracts, staff liaison
Staff efficiency monitoring
Assess, analyze and enhance current production methods
Health and Safety & ISO 9001 QMS
