Job Advert Summary:

Looking for a Professional Accountant to join their Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) division on a permanent basis from 1 February 2024 or 1 March 2024. The successful candidate will have completed their SAICA/AGA/SAIPA articles, who is confident, values high standards, is committed to quality and can effectively manage client relationships.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements

Experience and Skills Required:

Post article experience in an audit practice advantageous
Thorough knowledge of IFRS for SME’s and Accounting Standards.
Working knowledge of CaseWare.
Proficient in various accounting software packages and Microsoft Office.
Have a good understanding of the Companies and Income Tax Acts

Educational Qualifications

BCom, B.Acc or Honours degree (accounting or financial accounting)
SAICA/AGA/SAIPA training contract completed or qualified.

Have a passion for developing client relationships.
Problem solving mindset.'Ability to collaborate in a team environment.
Effective time management skills and ability to prioritise multiple engagements.

Duties and Responsibilities

Main Purpose of Position:

This is a full-time role in the SME division involved in the execution of Independent Review and Compilation engagements for a fast-growing and diverse client base.
Day-to-day activities will include coordinating with the client to ensure timely completion of engagements, statutory and tax compliance whilst providing value-added advice to the client.

Position Overview:

Drafting of financial statements in terms of IFRS for SME’s
Execution of Independent Review engagements in terms of ISRE 2400
Execution of Compilation engagements in terms of ISRS 4410
Preparation and calculation of taxation for Companies and Trusts
