POSITION INFO:

A Civil and Structural Consulting Engineering company is looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to join their team in Durban.

Requirements:

Professionally registered with ECSA
7 or more years experience in Civil Design.
Experience in commercial building, residential, light and heavy industrial, and government sector projects.

Duties:

Review, update, and modification of drawings
Ability to take the role of project leader and manage a project from start to finish.
Visual assessments and reporting of existing civil components.
Liaising with project stakeholders from inception to completion.
Experience in analysing, designing, specifications, report writing, design review, management, checking of design calculations, notes and reports
Be fully conversant with design and design codes with industry analysis and design software
Preparation of tender documentation
Ability to manage staff.
Ability to perform at the level of Senior Management.
Showing initiative in working in challenging and unclear circumstances.
Open communication approach with subordinates, colleagues and peers.
Professional conduct and good organizational skills.
