- Facilitate the learning process in Strategy, Risk Management, Governance and Finance (by taking responsibility for course material, lectures, tutorials, setting and moderating assessments) for undergraduate and/or postgraduate students, the majority of whom intend to qualify as Chartered Accountants (SA) - both day and evening groups.
- Coordinate academic programs.
- Supervise postgraduate students.
- Undertake research and scholarly activities.
- Engage with professional bodies and other stakeholders.
- Perform related administrative duties.

In order to be considered for the Professor rank, candidates should:
- Be registered, in good standing, with a relevant professional body (for example, SAICA, CIMA; or ACCA;
- Be in possession of a relevant doctoral degree (NQF Level 10 qualification) specialising in Strategy, Risk Management, Governance and/or Finance with an established research profile or a national standing within the field of Strategy, Risk Management, Governance and/or Finance; and
- Have least 4-7 years (i.e. extensive) relevant working experience as associate professor or related experience specialising in Strategy, Risk Management, Governance and Finance and/or facilitating learning in postgraduate Strategy, Risk Management, Governance and Finance courses.
In order to be considered for the Associate Professor rank, candidates should:
- Be registered, in good standing, with a relevant professional body (for example, SAICA, CIMA; or ACCA;
- Be in possession of a master's degree (NQF 9 qualification) specialising in Strategy, Risk Management, Governance and/or Finance with a developing research profile or an established recognised national standing within the field of Strategy, Risk Management, Governance and/or Finance; and
- Have 4 -7 years (i.e. extensive) relevant and/or related work experience specialising in Strategy, Risk Management, Governance and Finance and/or in the facilitation of learning in postgraduate Strategy, Risk Management, Governance and Finance courses.
In order to be considered for the senior lecturer rank, candidates should:
- Be registered, in good standing, with a relevant professional body (for example, SAICA, CIMA; or ACCA;
- Be in possession of an honour's degree or equivalent NQF 8 qualification specialising in Strategy, Risk Management, Governance and Finance*; and
- Have 3 - 7 years relevant or related working experience in Strategy, Risk Management, Governance and Finance and/or the facilitation of learning in postgraduate Strategy, Risk Management, Governance and Finance courses.
* Preference will be given to candidates who have made progress towards a master's degree specialising in Strategy, Risk Management, Governance and Finance.
