SUMMARY:
To perform the design, implementation, debugging, documentation release and maintenance of software-based solutions, write codes, and enhance software/systems as specified according to ICT processes and procedures

POSITION INFO:

Purpose of the Job

To perform the design, implementation, debugging, documentation release and maintenance of software-based solutions, write codes, and enhance software/systems as specified according to ICT processes and procedures

Qualifications & Experience Required (minimum)

• Grade 12 with applicable Diploma in IT

• Programming certification or courses completed

Skills and Experience

• 3 years experience as a programmer

• Strong background in coding with knowledge of Delphi, .Net, Java, Visual Basic, C++, C#, SQL etc.

• Knowledge of the operating, principles, fundamental concepts of data communications and systems integration

Ideal Requirements (Same as minimum plus the following)

• BSC Computer Science

• BTech IT or Information Systems

Skills & Experience

• 5 years experience as a programmer

• ICT Project Management

• Full Software Development Lifecycle (SLDC)

• Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment

Key Result Areas

• Ensure effective system development

• Planning, developing, testing and documenting Productionrelated computer programs

• Ensure effective planning

• Formulating plans outlining steps necessary to develop programs using, approved structure analysis and design

• Ensure database maintenance

• Providing expect level assistance in database design, development and improvement with MS SQL

• Ensure effective software development

• Assisting with processing, objects and data modelling in diverse database and application environments

• Perform data analysis and and standardise data fields

• Determine analyse systems interface

• Ensure risk control

• Providing technical advise to risk analysisand change control

• Assist in projects

• Assist the business systems and ICT Facilities divisions with Projects as Required

• Ensure effective software integration

• Contributing to systems architectural design, analysis, development and improvement
