SUMMARY:
Client in the MINING INDUSTRY requires the services of a Project Co-ordinator (OG) Organisational Growth at their plant in West Rand as soon as possible

POSITION INFO:

Summary: The role of a Project Coordinator (OG):

•Coordinate projects within the department relating to culture transformation journeys and other organisational development processes

•Co-create an operational project plan for the year to support the achievement of objectives for Organisational Growth department.

•Assist in creating a 1-2 year forecasted project plan, inclusive of budgetary requirements in alignment to set targets for the Organisation Growth department

•Liaise with leadership Team regarding daily, weekly and monthly project progress to plan, budget and ensure employee resources

•Plan daily, weekly and monthly projects requirement and priorities with Leadership team to ensure alignment

•Establish procedures for abnormal project work requirements, which fall outside of current processes

•Ensure that consultation are working to all standards and achieving required outputs

•Prepare ad-hoc project reports for relevant stakeholders

The appointee should:

  • Have NQF5 (Higher Certificate) in Project Management
  • Have at least 5 years’ experience in a project management / coordinating related role
  • Have experience in organisational development processes within a mining environment would be advantageous
  • Have clear security screening record
  • Have Valid driver’s License
  • Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at the relevant Occupational Health Centre

Advantageous requirements:

  • Qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology. Or related field would be advantageous
  • Experience in organisational development processes within a mining environment would be advantageous

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Coordinate projects within the department relating to culture transformation journeys and other organisational development processes 
  • Co-create an operational project plan for the year to support the achievement of objectives for Organisational Growth department.
  • Assist in creating a 1-2 year forecasted project plan, inclusive of budgetary requirements in alignment to set targets for the Organisation Growth department
  • Liaise with leadership Team regarding daily, weekly and monthly project progress to plan, budget and ensure employee resources
  • Plan daily, weekly and monthly projects requirement and priorities with Leadership team to ensure alignment
  • Establish procedures for abnormal project work requirements, which fall outside of current processes
  • Ensure that consultation are working to all standards and achieving required outputs
  • Prepare ad-hoc project reports for relevant stakeholders
  • Complete project plan administration and ensure that project plan data is accurately captured for operational review purpose
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and externally at all levels and across- functionally 
  • Lead and drive cost saving and cash conservation initiatives
  • Actively support and meaningfully participate in the execution of the segment specific organisational development plan. This support will manifest in the targeted shift in culture as described by a valid culture assessment such as the BeQ
  • Align to international responsible mining principles
  • Maintain and comply with SHE standards within the work environment
  • Participate in risk assessments and investigate and take appropriate action as per identified risks
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures
  • Comply with re requirements of the Quality Management System
  • Focus on safety and health as well as operational excellence
  • Improve our position on global industry cost curve
