Consulting Engineering firm that handles “World-class rebuild optimization projects” are growing their support team and require a Project Controls Manager to support their Project Management Team in managing multiple (small to medium-sized projects) in a highly pressurized and challenging environment for a demanding and professional client that only expects excellence. You will be based at the client’s site in Rustenburg.

Provide Project Controls (planning and scheduling) on refurbishment projects in Platinum throughout the project lifecycle model (PLCM).
Manage Cost and Planning Engineer with primary focus on ongoing schedule development and progress/productivity reporting. Various daily and weekly reports.
Manage and oversee all activities relating to project accounting, cost estimating, cost control, project planning and document control.
Implement and maintain relevant project control systems, processes, procedures and guidelines in accordance with company standards.
Identify, define and oversee adherence to adequate procedures and procedures for project controls including the project controls plan.
Ensure project filing and retention of records are set-up in accordance with the company’s system procedures and clients requirements.
Oversee project set-up with project controls disciplines.
Manage the consistency of the work breakdown structure to project controls and engineering activities on projects.
Oversee the preparation and approval of the control budget for various projects.
Develop and oversee the planning and scheduling system, process and procedures.
Oversee the document control systems and procedures.
Oversee adherence to project execution and quality plans.
Establish and ensure governance of all cost control, planning/scheduling, cash flow forecasting and cost estimating functions related to projects.
Oversee the management of cost and schedule risk processes, conduct qualitative and quantitative schedule and cost risk analysis and recommend mitigation steps as appropriate.
Manage and oversee required data in order to compile monthly project review packs and client reports, oversee budget, cost and capital management.
Handle technical documents, project deployment schedules and master deployment schedule based on project requirements.

Job Qualification & Experience:
Sound, hands-on experience and knowledge of project budgeting, cost estimating/control and planning/scheduling.
Person with high integrity operating in a high-performance culture to deliver accurate results on time.
Delivered results in various operations and projects.
Ability to establish solid control environments, experience as Project Controls Manager maintaining and improving systems re cost, finance, scheduling, document control and change management.
Sound governance and discipline in multi-faceted operations.
Leader with outstanding financial and commercial insights to improve both project and operational environments.
Quickly grasp new concepts and systems and make it your own.
Be medically fit due to the nature of the business.
Must be willing to travel and be based on site from Monday to Friday.
