Project Engineer

POSITION INFO:
They’re looking for a Solar Project Engineer to lead and support the engineering design, execution, and commissioning of UTILITY-scale Solar PV & BESS projects (commercial, industrial, agriculture and utility scale). Key Responsibilities:

• 🔧 Design and optimize solar PV systems using tools like PVsyst, Helioscope, and AutoCAD
• 📈 Perform technical feasibility studies and yield analysis
• 📝 Develop and review single-line diagrams (SLDs), wiring layouts, and construction drawings
• 🛠️ Support procurement and construction teams with technical input
• 🔍 Ensure compliance with applicable standards (NRS, IEC, and SANS)
• 📅 Monitor project timelines, risks, and deliverables
• 🤝 Collaborate with clients, EPCs, and utility stakeholders during all project phases

• ✔ Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Energy Engineering
• ✔ 3–5 years' experience in solar PV project design or engineering
• ✔ Proficient in PV design software (PVsyst, AutoCAD, etc.)
• ✔ Knowledge of grid-tied and hybrid systems
• ✔ Strong project coordination and problem-solving skills
• ✔ Valid driver's license (advantageous for site visits)
