Project Engineer

SUMMARY:
PROJECT ENGINEER
Must be younger than 58 and medical fit.

JOB PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for the design and implementation of projects and to make sure that project outcomes match project requirements.

POSITION INFO:
JOB OBJECTIVES:
To coordinate engineering activities, prioritize work and develop solutions to resolve client issues.
To lead and own the process of preparation of design deliverables without compromising quality standards and to take ownership of deliverables produced.
To ensure appropriate checking and review of all documents / drawings before release to the client.
To attend project review meetings when necessary.
To prepare the scope of work, specifications, bill of quantities and tender documents in line with the client''s needs and requirements.
To align designs with industry best practices to ensure effective cost management and adherence to safety regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:
Degree/ Technical Diploma or NQF Equivalent
7+  years operational and design experience (inclusive of relevant design program exposure)
Exposure to Mining Industry
Knowledge of electrical and/or instrumentation and/or control system engineering
International specifications and standards
SANS standards
OHS Act (Mining)
Technical product knowledge
