Introduction:

Our client that has a national footprint that specializes in the innovative operation and management methods of coal fired Boiler plants on behalf of Industrial users require the skills of a Project Engineer who will be reporting to the Regional Manager.

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for executing projects within the Gauteng, Mpumalanga and North West provinces.

Requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12
• ND / Degree Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics / Chemical Engineering Degree from a recognised institution
• Working experience of minimum 5 years with Diploma or 3 years with Degree.
• Willing to work extended hours and travel at short notice as the need arises.
• Experience in systems integration projects (troubleshooting, design changes, upgrades).
• Experience or an interest in energy and steam generation plant, fuel (coal, HFO, biomass) management, water treatment.
• Experience with ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluation, Initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring and closure of a project.
• Develop project budgets, track and report on project costs to budget.
• Monitor and manage the project timing plan and take appropriate action as necessary.
• Maintain a project file that documents all aspects of the project.
• Manage contractors to ensure the project is delivered to the defined specification and client expectations.
• Communicate regularly to the various project stakeholders.
