POSITION INFO:
Company and Job Description:
A leading player in the renewable energy industry is on the lookout for a Project Finance Accountant to play a key role in supporting the financial success of its high-impact green energy developments.

As a Project Finance Accountant, you'll take ownership of financial management, reporting, and compliance across multiple renewable energy projects. Working closely with project managers, the finance team, and external partners, you'll ensure financial integrity, accurate reporting, and strategic insight throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Accounting & Reporting

Maintain accurate and detailed project cost records.
Prepare monthly project financial statements and reports.

Budgeting & Forecasting

Assist in budget development and forecasting.
Analyse variances and report on financial performance.

Revenue & Cost Recognition

Apply appropriate accounting treatment for project revenue and costs.
Ensure alignment with agreements and IFRS standards.

Cash Flow & Funding Management

Monitor project cash flow, capital drawdowns, and funding needs.
Liaise with treasury and project managers for timely execution.

Compliance & Audit

Support internal/external audits with project financial data.
Ensure compliance with IFRS and local statutory requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement

Serve as the financial point of contact for project teams and external partners.
Provide financial insights to guide decision-making and mitigate risk.

Job Experience and Skills Required:
Completed Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CIMA, ACCA, or similar professional qualification (advantageous)
3–5 years’ experience in project accounting or finance
Exposure to capital projects in renewable energy, infrastructure, or construction sectors
Strong understanding of project financing, funding agreements, and reporting standards
