SUMMARY:
Our client in Cape Town is looking for a Financial Project Officer to implement and ensure adherence to the internal control frameworks, including business case and budget approvals, financial record keeping, financial reporting and audits related to project budgeting, procurement and financial management.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Economics or Finance field
Business/Project Administration Diploma (3 years)
3-5 years of experience in a Project Finance/Administration role
Experience developing and monitoring project budgets and supporting the review and revision of project budgets
Proven track record of previous exposure to Projects and Project deliverables Experience in using productivity suite (MS O365)

Responsibilities:
Provide project finance support and direction to Project Managers, ensuring project financials are properly monitored and managed in pursuit of timely budget revisions so that projects do not exceed the latest signed budget value, all unbilled transactions are addressed through the revision request process, backlog phasing is reviewed with PMs to ensure phasing is reasonable and overall clients receive high-quality support to ensure their budgets are well managed throughout the lifetime of their projects
