Project Management (Electrical)

We are looking for a dynamic Project Manager with experience in the electrical industry with a proven track record of completing high value projects. managing sites with 10+ employees and delivering projects on spec, on time and on budget. Experience in preparation of tenders will be greatly advantageous. You will be responsible for planning, budgeting, overseeing and documenting all aspects of the specific projects that are being worked on and ensure the scope and direction of each project is on schedule. You will be managing sites and site activities with 10+ employees of various calibers, advising staff and making the required site decisions. You will work closely with site foreman, making sure they are correctly coordinated on the correct projects and at the correct sites, while working closely with them on communication with clients and making sure they are aware of, and meet their deadlines.

This role is based in Stellenbosch and will report to the General Manager.

Additional responsibilities:

• Project Planning, Resource Planning, Materials Planning and Budgeting
• Plan, schedule, track and report on project delivery against targets.
• Develop and maintain operational business plans and budgets.
• Ensure that accurate project progress measurements are taken and submitted timeously for invoicing purposes.
• Overall responsibility for customer project management in liaison with the General Manager and Contract Manager.
• Understand all electrical products and relative application methods.
• Reading and interpretation of electrical site plans (technical drawings).
• Ensure that projects are signed-off.
• Establish and monitor the on-going implementation of operational policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Must have experience in the electrical / construction industry.
• Tertiary education in the Electrical Field would be advantageous.
• At least 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager or similar position.
• In-depth LV, MV & HV experience.
• Wireman’s license would be advantageous.
• Previous data centre experience would be advantageous.
• Valid driver’s license (PDP would be advantageous.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
