POSITION INFO:

Our Client a Global Tech firm is seeking a Project Manager to join their team in Cape town on a 12 month contract. They offer stability, competitive rates, growth and an excellent working environment.

As a Project Manager, you''ll be responsible for all aspects of project management within the company. You will take on many different projects and manage them to completion with the appropriate resources. You should have strong interpersonal skills, as well as an understanding of how to deal with people in order to get things done quickly and effectively.

Requirements

• Project management of various ICT projects and the coordination and implementation of solutions, which may include:
• Leadership: Direct teams and manage all aspects from planning to implementation; and facilitate and/or co­ ordinate meetings, workshops; and the like between stakeholders;
• Cost control: Monitor and report on budget/cost and ensure good vendor relationships;
• Writing: Business Cases, project documentation, presentations, and accurate minute taking;
• Establish contingency plans with backup plans for potential delays; and
• Coaching and mentoring;
• Research on information technology;
• Give input on policy matters regarding information technology;
• Give input on functional and/or process improvement strategies within the environment;
• Employ project management methodology and techniques in developing and managing plans within the environment and for client departments;
• Act as a central reference point for information and decisions regarding projects or other activities and ensure good programming is maintained throughout the lifecycle of projects
• or programs;
• Maintain accurate records and documentation; and
• Communication skills at all levels, including conflict resolution, problem management, report writing, and presentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate and work as a part of a team;
• Ability to be self-managed, ethical, and honest;
• Ability to be respectful and seek to build relationships;
• Have a pragmatic approach to business transformation;
• Strong presentation skills at board level (EXCO, CTM, etc.);
• Relevant technical skills and experience;
• Relevant knowledge and experience in the business; and
• Experience and capability of leading IT technologies

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate or evidence of minimum NQF Level 4
• Project Management Certification eg Accredited PMP Certification (renewable every 3 years), Postgrad Diploma in Proj Management, BCom with Proj Management as Elective/Module; or Courses relevant to the project management discipline eg Project Management, Professional Project Management (PMP)
• Related collective 5-year experience in the same or similar role;
• Evidence of service rendered in an organization of 500+ users (evidence of at least one organization to be reflected in CV)
