Project Manager – Property Development

ð Somerset West, Western Cape
â° Full-Time | ±45 hours per week

POSITION INFO:

About the Role

An established and growing property development business is seeking a Project Manager to support the delivery of residential, mixed-use, retail, and industrial developments.
This role is ideal for a highly organised, detail-driven professional with experience in coordinating property or construction projects and working with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Delivery

Support the full development lifecycle from feasibility through to construction and project close-out
Track project timelines, milestones, risks, and dependencies
Coordinate with professional teams including architects, engineers, town planners, quantity surveyors, and legal advisors

Feasibility & Financial Support

Assist with feasibility studies and updating financial models
Contribute to the preparation of internal reports and investor packs

Approvals & Compliance

Support rezoning, subdivision, site development plans, building plans, and environmental approvals
Track submission timelines and liaise with relevant authorities

Administration & Reporting

Maintain accurate project documentation, trackers, and meeting minutes
Report on project progress, budgets, and risks to management

Stakeholder Management

Act as a key point of coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders
Build and maintain strong working relationships with consultants and service providers

Minimum Requirements

Degree or Diploma in Property Studies, Construction Management, Town Planning, Architecture, or related field
3–8 years’ experience in property development, construction, or consulting
Strong coordination, organisational, and communication skills
Understanding of development processes and municipal approvals
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and project management tools
Self-motivated, professional, and able to manage multiple projects

Remuneration

R20,000 – R35,000 per month (depending on experience)
Performance-based bonus per project/milestone
Additional benefits may include travel reimbursement or tech allowance
