Project Manager

POSITION INFO:

Project Manager is needed for Open Cycle Power Plant in Richards Bay.Ideal candidate must have over 5 years experience as a Project Manager in the relevant Plant .

 

 

Requirements:

 Ms Science in Engineering, Civil, Electrical or Mechanic

  At least 5 years of experience as EPC PM for power plant projects, with   

  gas-fired turbines expertise prefer 

 Expertise in managing international multidisciplinary tea

 PMP certificate prefer

Subject to appointment 16.2 and/or 8.1

Responsibilities:

• Lead, coordinate and manage the project with the target of complying with the deadline, quality and budget requirements.
• Lead and approve the planning
• Lead, develop and manage the organisation (group managers) and coordinate their activities
• Plan and organise the Project’s development, coordinating the human and material resources which are required to run it and managing their opportune highs and lows in the Project team.
• Provide directives and approve, supported by the Project Quality Group, the PPC and guarantee Quality compliance. Approve the Quality List
• Establish the project management methodology and the guides for maintaining the register and documental archive ensuring the effective processing and distribution of the Project’s documentation. And make sure that all Project team members comply with it.
• Establish the directives to develop the project, apply corrective actions derived from the deviations and/or non conformities and emit warnings about those exceeding their competences.
• Identify and manage the project’s risks
• Manage the contract with the Client and obtain approval for the deliverables. Manage changes to the scope which occur in the Project.
  • Deliver the installation to the Customer, administrating the Provisional Definitive Acceptance.
  • Represent Iberinco with the Customer and the Customer with Iberinco from the start of the project until Definitive Acceptance,
  • Monitor, control and manage the deviations
  • Manage the personnel assigned to the project, be responsible for them during the assignation time (approving holidays, trips, etc.)

Ensure that the changes made are distributed, implemented and documented in the Project.

 

Functions

Establish and manage the Communications Plan, including internal monitoring meetings and drawing up periodic progress reports (for the customer) and Project management reports Holding and leading internal Project Meetings, progress meetings with the Customer and budget meetings with Cost Control. Establishing, setting procedures and coordinating the relationship between the Organisations involved. Channelling official relationships Approving and emitting all documentation relating to the Project (Planning, budget, Commercial Conditions, Technical Specifications, P&ID, Unifilar and important technical documentation) Approve and officially emit procedures for construction and assembly and contracting specifications for civil works and electro-mechanical assembly drawn up by the Construction Group with the extra technical information validated by the Project Engineering Group Approve and officially emit the Technical Manuals and the Administrative Commissioning Manual Hold and lead the Contracting Boards working on agreements with the Engineering, Construction, Commissioning and Procurement Group and in the event of discrepancies deciding on the Adjudication Proposals for all the Contracts and checking their monitoring. Approve all the offer evaluations, drawn up by the Departments and reviewed by the Project Technical Groups and authorise all Project Purchasing, approving the corresponding Adjudication Proposals. Authorise payments of invoices for all the Project Contracts, once reviewed and released by each of the Project groups Coordinate the activities for people who depend directly on the Project Management
