SUMMARY:
To efficiently manage and transition projects through the various stages of the project lifecycle to ensure timeous delivery in line with customer expectations. You can achieve this by: - Proactively communicating during all stages of the project lifecycle - Maintaining positive interaction with all parties involved in the project

POSITION INFO:

Job Objectives

To proactively communicate all project related scope, deliverable matters, updates and issue resolution to all relevant parties in a courteous, clear and timely fashion
Manage, track and expedite single and multi-site projects within predefined timeframes and deadlines, within the requirements of the PMO project management and governance framework
To effectively manage and track all project resources, follow the escalation path to address resource issues, and drive resolution thereof. Resources include but not limited to: people and project stakeholders, all types of stock and suppliers
To diligently manage, record and track all risk and issues on projects, follow the escalation path to address same, and drive resolution thereof
To report accurate project forecasting and facilitate timeous billing of projects, in line with product rules and PMO regulations
To close out and transition the project to VTSC and support in a clear and timely manner by ensuring all handover requirements are met
To understand and live by the core values of the PMO, ensuring continued professional development to learn and grow as a Project manager

Job Skills

Knowledge of:
- project management
- process improvement
- methological process driven tasks

Working knowledge of:
- Internet connectivity technologies,
- LAN, WAN & MPLS Connectivity and Principles
- ISP Environment
- ICT Environments

Competent working knowledge with various software programs:
-Word
-Excel
-Outlook

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 or NQF 4 or above with:
English as First or Second Language at NQF 4.
1 Year experience in resource management / scheduling.
3 Years intensive experience using Microsoft Office Suite
2 Years’ experience in Project Management
