Project Manager

POSITION INFO:

Purpose of the post:

To initiate, plan, execute, commission, and hand over projects. To engage with internal and external stakeholders ensuring adherence to standards and procedures.

Duties and responsibilities:

• To control the project financials/program/quality insurance/safety etc. to ensure successful execution and implementation of the project.
• To integrate projects with existing systems.
• Ensuring compliance to standards and procedures.
• Manage team resources.
• Ensure adherence to scope, cost and project schedules.

Competencies:

• Competent in MS-Projects, Excel, Word, Powerpoint.
• Knowledge of available and latest technology is essential.
• Knowledge of organizational procedures.
• Knowledge of applicable legislation.
• Knowledge of design standards and procedures.
• Time management skills.
• Conflict management and negotiation skills.
• Analytical skills – analysis of technical problem-solving.
• Leadership skills – ability to assess the situation and convince others.
• Report writing.

Minimum qualifications and requirements:

• Engineer qualification (Mechanical or Chemical).
• Formal Project Management qualification (Masters/PMI/PMP)
• 20 years + experience.
• MBA will be advantageous.
