Introduction
A leading international organization providing various business solutions, located in Johannesburg is looking for a Project Manager with working experience with S/4HANA automation software to join their dynamic team.
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) projects, specifically those leveraging the S/4HANA platform. This role involves managing project scope, budget, schedule, and quality, while coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Management:
Develop and manage project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
Lead and manage cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, functional consultants, technical developers, and other relevant resources.
Effectively communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders at various levels within the organization.
Possess a strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA and its capabilities, particularly within the HCM module.
Manage complex integrations between SAP S/4HANA and other systems, ensuring seamless data flow and process alignment.
Identify and mitigate potential project risks and issues, developing appropriate mitigation plans.
Facilitate change management activities related to the SAP S/4HANA implementation, ensuring user adoption and smooth transition.
Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and risk assessments.
Provide guidance and support to project team members and end-users on the new SAP S/4HANA HCM system.
Experience with:
- With SAP SuccessFactors, especially Employee Central, Payroll,
- Talent, and Performance modules.
- Exposure to cloud migration projects or hybrid cloud HCM environments.
- Familiarity with SAP RISE, its benefits, and implications on solution architecture and integration.
- Understanding of data privacy regulations (like POPIA) and how they apply to cloud HCM deployments.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Proven experience managing SAP projects, ideally with a focus on S/4HANA and HCM.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, monitoring, and control.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, including its architecture, modules, and functionality.
- Experience with Agile or hybrid-Agile project management methodologies is often preferred.
- PMP or other relevant project management certifications are often desirable.
- Experience with data migration and integration processes within an SAP environment.
- Familiarity with change management principles and practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
