• BSc/BTech in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience at a management level in a similar manufacturing environment.
• Project management experience in a heavy industrial environment.
• Experience in power plant, sugar production and packaging.
• Perform detailed engineering design work, ensuring compliance to applicable legislation and engineering standards.
• Well-developed leadership and management skills in leading high-performance teams.
• Have a strong focus on LEAN manufacturing best practices with a passion for continuous improvement and Asset Management.
• Attention to detail and proven ability to work under pressure.

KEY FOCUS AREAS

• To provide an efficient and responsive Project Management service to client Factory, including the drawing office service, with effectively documented project processes.
• Management of in-house projects team (draughtsman and Jnr Projects Engineer).
• Maintain 10 year capital project plan aligned to CLIENT’s strategy and business context, taking into account cross-functional stakeholder inputs.
• Collaborate and deliver technical solutions for persistent factory issues, i.e. continuous improvement efforts and root cause investigations.
• Compile quality project budgets, RFQ’s, technical specifications and project plans.
• Deliver projects within scope, quality, cost, and time constraints.
• Oversight of all CLIENT capital project progress, providing support to section managers for projects under their control.
• Effective project hand over including commissioning, training, performance testing and documentation.
