Project Risk and Governance Manager

SUMMARY:
CONTRACT POSITION
A FMCG Company in the Western Cape has an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Project Risk and Governance Manager who will be part of delivering integrated solutions across the company to some of the most recognised South Africa retail brands and you’ll do it by working on the best of breed of technologies.

POSITION INFO:
The purpose of the role is to Identity and assess threats, put plans in place for if things go wrong and decide how to avoid, reduce or transfer risk in addition to being responsible for managing the risk to the project and the Company, its employees, customer reputation, assets and interests of stakeholders.   The Risk Manager is a senior role with scope and responsibility for promoting a strong risk culture across projects and programmes.   He or she will take a lead role in offering specialist advice to influence decisions.   He or she will work with projects and programme teams to mitigate project risks and to advice on appropriate management against risk frameworks
Highlight areas of exposure
Review identified risks to ensure the Company’s assets and information are appropriately secured at all times
Monitor and review compliance with risk management strategies and practices on the project to ensure ICT related activities are meeting minimum standards
Monitor ethical practices, standards and systems and reinforce their use
Act on reported braches of rules, policies and guidelines
Implement appropriate controls to ensure compliance with information and communication security and use policies
Escalate issues, advice and receive instructions
Report on compliance metrics
Create awareness of policies and standards associated with governance, risk and how they are applied in the Company
 
Must have IT, Computer Science etc and Project Management
IT Security certification
3 years plus experience in an IT Governance, Audit Assurance, Risk and Compliance
Strong and broad understanding or project risk combined with technology and operational risk experience at a management level across large scale programs involving people, process and technology
Knowledge of Governance Processes and Standards of ICT, Risk, Governance and Security Technical Standards
