JOB SUMMARY:
A global engineering company is looking for an experienced Project Controller/Administrator to join their team based in Johannesburg and to be responsible for the planning, tracking, and reporting within the Projects Office.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) required.
3 - 4 years of experience in a senior secretarial or administrative role with a minimum of 1 year as part of a formal Project Team.
Exposure to a Project Management methodology or approach.
Have strong administration skills.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Able to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.
High proficiency level on desktop software.
Basic financial understanding.
Have a valid driver’s licence.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Setting up a project office environment for the relevant project/projects.
Implementing change and version control within the project office environment.
Co-ordinating all project-related events.
Managing data and backup procedures effectively.
Scheduling appropriate meetings.
Compiling and distributing minutes of meetings.
Taking and distributing minutes at workshops.
Compiling and distributing appropriate project reports.
Co-ordinating and administering all project procurement records.
Maintaining the Project Control Book.
Managing and assisting Project Manager with Cost Control as well as accounting / invoicing on the projects.
Ensuring adherence to project accounting guidelines.
Consolidating project accounting deliverables from individuals at Project Offices.
