Our client, a reputable property development and property management company, is seeking a Property Administrator to join their team in Somerset West, Western Cape, South Africa.

This role is ideal for candidates with experience in property administration, lease administration, tenant coordination, and property management systems (MDA Property Manager) within a commercial or retail property environment.

POSITION INFO:
About the Role

As a Property Administrator / Property Management Administrator, you will support the day-to-day operations of a commercial and retail property portfolio, ensuring efficient tenant administration, lease management, billing support, and property documentation control.

Key Responsibilities:

Property Administration (Commercial & Retail Property Jobs)

• Provide administrative support across a commercial and retail property portfolio
• Manage tenant queries, communication, and correspondence
• Maintain accurate property records, contracts, and compliance documentation

• Assist with lease administration, including renewals, amendments, and documentation
• Coordinate tenant move-ins, move-outs, inspections, and handovers
• Ensure all lease information is accurately captured and updated

• Capture and maintain data on MDA Property Manager (MRI Property Central) or similar systems
• Ensure data accuracy across tenant, lease, and billing information
• Assist with system reporting and updates

• Support tenant billing, recoveries, and credit control processes
• Assist with monthly reporting, schedules, and reconciliations
• Work closely with finance and property management teams

• Liaise with property managers, maintenance teams, and contractors
• Ensure smooth communication across all stakeholders
• Support general property management operations and administration

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Qualification in Property Management, Business Administration, or Finance (advantageous)
• 2–4 years’ experience in property administration or property management support
• Experience within a commercial or retail property environment
• Exposure to MDA Property Manager / MRI Property Central (advantageous)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

• Strong organisational and administrative ability
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Understanding of lease agreements and property management processes
• Ability to work independently and within a team
