SUMMARY:
Our client who specializes in high-end Property Management, is looking for a Handyman to join their team in Fresnaye, Cape Town

POSITION INFO:
Purpose:
A reliable handyman is wanted to undertake the upkeep and repair tasks at the interior or exterior of a few high-end properties in Cape Town.
The client will rely on you to keep their properties and facilities in perfect condition by doing various odd jobs and assisting tradespeople with electrical, plumbing, or solar repairs as needed.

Requirements
At least 5 years of experience in a technical maintenance role, preferably in the electrical/construction/ property maintenance industry.
You must have your own basic tools.
Must be presentable and polite.
Must be well-experienced in terms of general maintenance.
Own reliable vehicle would be required, and odd jobs and errands may well occur (e.g., a visit to the hardware store).
This is a full-time job with occasional weekends required as needed (e.g., meeting a landscaper).

Duties will include:
Perform maintenance and light repairs.
Perform routine landscaping on the grounds.
Paint and fill gaps or crevices (on walls, sidewalks, etc.).
Undertake light installation or carpentry (e.g., fix cabinets or door handles).
Repair equipment or appliances where possible.
Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks (e.g., refilling diesel generator or attending to emergency water damage).
Identify and report the need for major repairs.

The candidate will report to a central office and be required to liaise with occupants of the applicable properties from time to time.

Work Hours:
Monday – Friday 08:00 – 17:00
Ad-hoc requirements for Saturdays.

Salary:

The final salary will be determined and agreed upon in the final interview, based on a proven track record of the required experience and skill.
Business travel reimbursement at R4.64/km.

A company cell phone will be supplied.
