Tasks/Activities

Assess mental, emotional, and behavioural problems

• Administer psychological and neuropsychological assessments

• Conduct clinical interviews

• Score and interpret assessment results

• Compile medico-legal reports

• Identify and diagnose serious psychological problems caused by accidents/incidents and provide referral services to outside therapists, clinics, and treatment facilities

Promote Mental Wellness

• Help patients better understand and cope with their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours

• Provide crisis intervention as needed in the following areas:

  • Financial stress

  • Trauma (Death etc)

  • Domestic Violence

  • Suicide

Perform administrative duties

• Improve areas identified by the QA team

• Complete all necessary clinical documentation in an accurate and timely manner

• Coordinate and communicate with case managers and other stakeholders about treatment and care
