PR Manager - Consumer Science: Food / Nutrition - Nelspruit
POSITION INFO:
Public Relations Manager:
This position will be responsible, but not limited to the following:
Ensure the company is visible and active on all the relevant media platforms that will reach both the customers, consumers of the product, as well as our suppliers of the product, the farming community.
Accountable for maintaining these platforms and update the content regularly to improve and promote the business activities of the group.
Responsible to create relevant content and to compile report or write articles / publish information for social media platforms that is fact based and scientifically accurate
Ensure all social media platforms comply with the regulations and policies of the Company.
Monitor public opinions, liaise with the public and respond to inquiries.
Observing and analyzing social media feedback received and present regular summarized reports thereon
Developing and enhancing different creative marketing programs, manage the implementing thereof and Marketing and campaign ideas will not be limited to the brand but include other related companies and brands.
Developing and create marketing material, oversee production of visual (film or video) and audio electronic material.
Organise special events such as open days, visits, exhibitions and functions.
Responsible to write speeches, prepare visual aids and make public presentations.
Need to have academical knowledge or serious interest of consumer orientated food technology and diets to be able to do indebt research on the latest trends in the food industry and compile reports on possible campaigns to consider that will assist the Company to ensure marketing objectives are met.
Evaluate communication activities and recommend future actions.
Conduct internal communication courses, workshop and media training
Assist in preparing organizational documents such as annual reports, corporate profiles etc.
Qualifications:
International Trade and Marketing Degree OR Consumer Science: Food Nutrition Degree (Food/Nutrition) OR Dietetics Degree
Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in the food industry
Relevant experience in the IT environment
Report Writing and Presentation
Must be creative and able to work under pressure.
Needs to have a valid drivers’ license and own vehicle.
Must be willing to travel local and abroad if needed to gain an understanding of product
Continuous change – person need to be agile and adapt quickly.
