Purchasing Specialist

Job & Company Description:
My client, a global Manufacturer based in the Western Cape, has been operating for over 2 decades. The business specializes in commercial, heavy duty and small vehicles and they have won a number of awards relating to service delivery.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the key deliverables of the role include contract negotiations, sourcing new vendors, developing and implementing commodity strategies for selected components, identifying and executing cost reduction strategies and building strong relationships with both internal and external customers.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• B Degree in Supply Chain Management / Procurement Management or Engineering Degree
• 5 years purchasing experience in the Automotive industry
• Advanced MS Excel is essential
• Proficient in SAP or JD Edwards system
