QA Test Analyst (Automation)

Responsible for the planning, analysis, design and execution of the testing effort, including defect management in Automation.

Tasks & Responsibilities

1. Provided and prepared test strategies and plans for automation/performance projects
2. Built enhancements to test frameworks increasing speed and productivity
3. GUI/API automation/performance solutions using different tools
4. Refinement of automation/performance tech methodologies and approach
5. Innovate solutions and idea improving SQA processes
6. Define metrics and measurements to evaluate automation/performance effectiveness
7. Analysis, design and implement automation/ performance solutions
8. Facilitate project workshops and scoping sessions
9. Compile project estimations and costings
10. Compile technical statements of work
11. Pilot and demo bespoke automation/performance solutions
12. Identify and augment business opportunities
13. Provide creative solutions to increase employee effectiveness
14. Prepare Reusable functions, which improve the robustness, re-usability, and maintainability of their test script

Hard Skills

1. Exposure to development or test automation tools/frameworks (e.g. Selenium Grid, Junit, SOAP-UI, Eclipse, Jenkins, CA-Lisa, Ant, Maven, Visual Studio, HP ALM/QTP and JIRA)
2. Working on Agile projects and Agile Testing experience
3. Experience on TFS, Selenium and MTM
4. Background in development or networking
5. Experience with major development languages required as per test automation tools.
6. Experience testing of web applications and virtual machines.
7. Use of 2 or more development languages (e.g. Java/JQuery, Javascript, Python/Jython, Ruby, Groovy, C++/C#, CSS, .Net, VBScript and SQL
