QC Analyst - Pharmaceutical

SUMMARY:
QC Analyst in our Quality Control department. (Pharmaceutical)
The basic salary band is R25k – R30k a month.
Based in Wadeville
There is a discretionary bonus based on company performance targets per financial year.
20 days leave per annum
Once permanent, medical aid compulsory and we pay 50%.
Once permanent, pension fund is compulsory. Employee contributes 7.5%. The company contributes 10% which includes pension, life, disability, funeral, spousal cover.
 
 
We require an experienced and skilled HPLC technician who has Raw Material/finished product testing experience (at least 3 years). 
Credit, criminal and qualification checks are required.
Pharmaceutical experience is preferred
This individual will need to work Monday – Thursday 8h00-16h30 and Friday 8h00 – 15h30.
 
Where possible, someone who is available immediately would be preferred.

Purpose:
Analyst will under direction, perform a variety of simple to complex routine and non-routine tests to evaluate the quality of raw material(s), intermediate, finished product(s) by determining strength, stability, purity, chemical content and other characteristics.

Main responsibility:

• Analyse raw materials, intermediate products, finished products, validation samples.
• Compiles, interprets and documents data from testing processes to confirm compliance with established standards or identify deviations/ OOS (Out of Specifications).
• Ensures completion of delegated tasks by agreed completion dates.
• Maintain and manage accurate and precise documentation.
• Operation of analytical laboratory instrumentation.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with GLP and GMP environment.
• Comply with standard procedures.
• Interact with Operations and Quality Assurance.
• Maintain a safe laboratory work environment.
• Ensure adequate stocking of laboratory reagents, reference standards and consumables by monitoring stock levels and ensuring timeous ordering.
