QC Manager

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic QC Manager for our growing Packhouse Operation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Relevant tertiary qualifications (advantageous)
• Packhouse and QC Manager Experience
• Minimum 5 years’ Experience in soft fruit quality Control is essential
• Knowledge of food safety Standards( Global Gap, BRC HACCP)

Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily quality inspections during order picking
• Implementation of quality standards in packhouse
• Conduct daily pre-dispatch quality checks on all product lines picked for progressive order
• Ensure fresh produce quality standards are maintained at site level
• Ensure accurate recording of stock movement are maintained
• Minimizing errors and damage to product and claims through ongoing application of corrective actions
• Manage and update all forms and record keeping of quality
• Conduct incoming shipment/ delivery quality inspections on all product line
• Ad hoc duties and responsibilities assigned by senior management

Working with the Packhouse Manager and Production Manager, the QC Manager will be involved in all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the farm.

The QC Manager will be required to assist with weekend duties and standby duties as required.
