POSITION INFO:

QUALIFIED CA (SA) ACCOUNTANT – Crown Mines, Johannesburg

Closing date: 1 December 2021

Appointment: Permanent, full-time position

Areas: Crown Mines, Johannesburg, Gauteng

Salary: R 650K – R750K per annum (Negotiable, depending on experience)

Essential Qualification: Qualified CA (SA) (Supply CA registration number together with application)

Computer Literate: Proficient MS Office with advanced Excel Skills.

• 1 Year post SAICA Article experience within the private sector.
• Ideal age group of applicants would be 25 – 30-year-old.
• The individual should have strong interpersonal skills, very good understanding of IFRS and Tax, familiar with consolidations and be willing to work extra hours during month end (not more than 4 days), half year end (Dec) and year end (June) – there will be a handover as the current employee is moving into a different role.
• Prepare, Collate and present the business unit forecasts: Income statements, Capital Budgets
• Prepare, Consolidate and Distribute monthly management report to the CFO: Flash and Management Accounts
• Complete Bi annual statutory packs in consolidated format.
• Complete bi-annual TAX Compilations in consolidated format.
• Compile annual financial statements in consolidated format.
• Liaise with FM’s and CFO in relation to report requirements
• Ensure Compliance with Policies and Procedures
• IFRS and Tax compliance
• Populate templates (roll-up sheets) for operational financial reporting
• Liaise with all parties related to compliance, auditing and or financial management
• Support Financial managers and CFO with operational financial aspects
• Review the internal audit status update
• Assist in compiling and managing the compilation process of the quarterly board packs.
• Oversea submissions of info pieces in the packs.
• Check format and quality
• Bind and distribute packs to all Board members and invitees 1 week ahead of the meeting.
• Facilitate the internal process for all capital expenditure for all plants, branches etc.
• Ensure signatories are done in time of the expected capex.
• Ensure effective and accurate record keeping at all times.
