SUMMARY:
QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICER - ALICE CAMPUS (REF NO. 6972):
The Planning and Quality Assurance Unit is seeking an experienced professional to play a supporting role in relation to Quality Assurance. The incumbent will provide support to faculties and services departments in preparation for internal reviews, institutional audits and programme approval processes. Assist in servicing the university-wide structures and provide support in monitoring the effectiveness of UFH's Quality Assurance Management System.
POSITION INFO:
Core responsibilities include:
· Assist in the management and monitoring of University''s Program and Qualification Mix (PQM).
· Assist in extraction, analysis and manipulation of data from various applicable platforms (ITS, DHET, CHE and SAQA) to service university''s internal and external structures.
· Assist in external review processes across the university and UFH''s internal Academic and Departmental Review Processes.
· Providing a professional service to university-wide Quality Assurance structures.
· Oversee the Planning and QA components of the Planning and Quality Assurance Unit''s website.
· Assist in promoting quality assurance awareness amongst students.
· Assist with developing and reviewing policies, procedures and guidelines.
· Assist with and quality assuring submissions to regulatory bodies.
· Assist in compiling an annual report on the activities of the university-wide QA structures for Institutional Quality Assurance Committee and Senate.
Requirements:
- A 3 years'' Higher Education Qualification in Quality Management Systems or a related qualification.
- Knowledge of higher education policies related to academic planning and quality assurance.
- Knowledge of the ITS system.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative data.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good level of writing and analytical skills.
- Report writing experience.
· High level organizational skills
