POSITION INFO:

RedCat Recruitment is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced QUANTITY SURVEYOR for a growing concern, position based in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Grade 12.

Valid driver’s license / own vehicle.

Relevant qualification/s.

3-4 years previous working experience in a similar position.

Competent computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet). Working experience on Microsoft Project.

Pricing and estimating of jobs based on site visits.

Pricing of Tender Bill of Quantities.

Preparing cost estimates of new projects off Architects and Engineers plans.

Emailing of quotation or estimate to clients.

Attending tender briefing meetings.

Site visits on current jobs.

Attending and assisting with the site meetings for project planning.

Measuring quantities of materials required for site.

Ordering of materials for site on a day-to-day basis.

Monitoring material usage on site.

Preparation of monthly claims.

Preparing of cash flow report for claims.

Measuring of sub-contractors work on site and preparing sub-contractors’ payments.

Administration and filing.

Project managing of sites.

Liaising with sub-contractors and acquiring quotations.

Liaising with suppliers on purchasing of materials.

Liaising with the clients and other construction professionals.

Tracking changes for construction work and adjusting of budget projections accordingly.
