SUMMARY:
Looking for a dynamic and qualified actuary to analyze the financial costs of risk and uncertainty, making use of mathematics, statistics, and financial theory to assess the risk of potential events, and help the businesses develop policies that minimize the cost of that risk.

POSITION INFO:

Compile statistical data and other information for further analysis
Estimate the probability and likely economic cost of an event such as death, sickness, an accident, or a natural disaster
Design, test, and administer insurance policies, investments, pension plans, and other business strategies to minimize risk and maximize profitability
Produce charts, tables, and reports that explain calculations and proposals
Explain their findings and proposals to company executives

This position would be ideal for a candidate with the following;

- 10 years or more of insurance industry experience (at least 3 of which are post-qualification), in particular, Embedded value and the analysis in the change thereof will be beneficial;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Good problem solving and analytical skills;
- Excellent communication and Excel skills;
Experience with using actuarial modeling software such as Basys, Prophet, or Moses, as well as experience with Qlikview or SQL
