Our client, a reputable dealership based in the Johannesburg North area, is seeking to appoint a Qualified Service Manager to lead their service department. The ideal candidate will be experienced, driven, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service and operational efficiency.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric is Essential
- Relevant Automotive Technical Qualification – Essential (Trade Tested Motor Mechanic or equivalent)
- Previous experience as a Service Manager – Minimum 3–5 years
- Experience with Ford vehicles and systems – Highly advantageous
- Strong leadership, management, and communication skills
- Proven ability to meet performance targets and manage customer satisfaction
- Computer literate (Kerridge/CDK, Automate or similar DMS experience preferred)
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean criminal record.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the service department
- Manage a team of technicians and service advisors
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality
- Drive profitability and performance targets
- Maintain compliance with manufacturer standards and company policies
- Handle escalated customer issues and ensure resolution
- Monitor service workflows, parts usage, and workshop productivity
- Manage warranty claims and ensure accurate documentation
