JOB SUMMARY:

Our Client is looking for a QA (Quality Assurance) Engineer that will be responsible for the overall quality and testing architecture of our products that our department produces. They use a range of innovative front-end and back-end tools & technology to drive robust, well-engineered practices through to delivery, giving the business that sought-after confidence. Consisting of Test Architects, Performance Test Engineers and QA Engineers, they have a deeply embedded culture of collaboration, sharing our experiences and skills throughout.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Purpose of the Role:
QA Engineer will perform testing procedures on the Web /Mobile Application Software and ensure all errors are identified and corrected before release to clients.
You will be involved in ensuring high quality is engrained into teams as well as working closely with developers to give them a test perspective.

Duties include, but not limited to:

Ensure quality from the start – get involved in the user story definition process and write SpecFlow test scenarios upfront.
Understanding how products communicate with each other and test those lines of communication.
Bring a QA perspective to planning sessions and ensure test effort is taken into consideration.
Working close with developers to ensure that quality is considered and they are creating the right kind of unit tests.
Working with product owners to ensure they sign off work items during the UAT phase.
Supporting - Assist with resolution and reproduction of issues reported by users.
Creating automated tests using our current SpecFlow test framework.
Working within the ATDD framework and define items using BDD style syntax.
Ensuring that bugs are treated with the utmost importance and try to limit the amount that make it to live.

Essential Criteria:

Minimum of 6 months in current role
Communication skills - ability to communicate with stakeholders and line management.
Full understanding of testing web /mobile applications and websites and associated technologies.
Experience of agile and the Scrum or Kanban methodology.
Experience with test automation tools and strategies.
Experience of using SpecFlow effectively.
Proven C# & Selenium experience.
Ability to test APIs or webservices using C#.
Ability to use advanced selectors, such as partial css selectors or concatenated selectors.
Experience with Continuous Delivery processes & tools.
Be prepared to work in a 24/7 environment.
Demonstrates consistent behavior aligned to the Combined F and Organizational Culture

Desirable Criteria:

Refit or Postman experience.
Selenium grid set up experience.
Experience with at least one of the following: Docker, Yaml builds, Terraform.
Previous exposure to Microsoft Azure DevOps & VSTS.
Exposure to other testing tools such as, Cypress or WebDriver.io.
