SUMMARY:
Successfully established and progressive Engineering and Manufacturing Organisation has an opportunity available for a suitably experienced and qualified Quality Assurance Engineer.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements (Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience):

Grade 12 (including Maths and Science).
B-Tech and/or BEng in Mechanical (or) Industrial Engineering.
Advantageous: B-Tech or related in Quality.

Minimum 2 - 4 years’ experience in similar role.

Sound understanding of quality assurance processes, standards, and methodology in a high-pressured manufacturing environment.
Experience of Material Specifications (metal products).
Engineering Quality Processes including Technical Details.
Sound understanding and experience in a factory working environment, quality systems and standards.
Understanding of ISO9001 / Quality assurance program.

Attributes and Skills:

Self-disciplined and strong ability to plan, update and coordinate production processes.
Exceptional comprehension and ability to draft and implement quality systems and updating of production work instructions.
Sound communication with colleagues, clients, suppliers and/or management alike.
Professional approach in responding to management.
Methodical and analytical towards all processes.
Ability to maintain a hands-on and proactive approach.

Key Performance Areas (full job description to be discussed during screening stage):

Production quality assurance.
Raw material quality assurance.
Finished goods quality assurance.
Maintain quality system.
Quality administration and specifications.
Customer complaints.
Calibration and test equipment.
Testing of products, samples, parts etc.
Any reasonable and/or relevant task given by Management.
Standby as per standby roster.
