Quality Assurance Software Engineer

SUMMARY:
Quality Assurance Software Engineer required to test and ensure the quality of the software products.

Experience in developing and executing test plans, identifying and reporting defects, and collaborating with development teams to resolve issues essential.

Understanding in MySQL, PHP, and Object-Oriented Programming, as well as knowledge of JIRA, Xray required.

POSITION INFO:
Key responsibilities:

• Developing and executing test plans for software products
• Identifying and reporting defects, tracking progress and verifying fixes
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.
• Developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks and scripts.
• Troubleshooting and debugging issues and providing recommendations for resolution.
• Analysing and documenting testing results and providing feedback to development teams
• Working with Business Analysts and Developers to define acceptance criteria and ensure requirements are met.
• Continuously improving testing methodologies and strategies.

• Grade 12 or equivalent essential
• 3+ years relevant work experience in Quality Assurance, with a focus on software testing and test automation
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and strategies
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Basic knowledge in MySQL, API design principles and Object-Oriented Programming
• Knowledge of JIRA, Git and Postman
• Familiarity of RESTful API services
• Experience with test automation frameworks, such as Codeception or Selenium preferred.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms for example AWS or Google Cloud Platform advantageous
• Experience with performance and security testing preferred
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Familiarity with software development life cycle and release management
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
