Quality Control Officer - Building/Construction Sector

Our client, a well established property development and construction group, seeks to employ an experienced Site Quality and Compliance Officer to join their progressive team.

The role is to manage various Quality related functions, on construction/building sites mainly, within the Cape Town, Overberg and Winelands region.

Please note that this role is not geared toward candidates with a Civil Engineering project background but rather who has experience in building site quality and compliance.

KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION:

• You will have completed a related qualification in Construction (a Quality Qualification would be an added advantage), coupled with 3-5 years experience, in the residential and commercial build environment, having sound knowledge of both build and material quality control on site, as well as compliance in terms of quality and safety on site, document control compliance, subcontractor evaluation and reporting/corrective action on non-conformances
• A solid background in meeting deadlines and ensuring the highest standards are maintained is essential.
• You must have excellent time management abilities and be able to manage quality on several sites simultaneously as well as have a sound understanding of materials used in the full build process, including finishings.
• Fluency in English and Afrikaans is essential
• You will have exceptionally superior organizational skills, be able to work both in office and on-site effectively and ensure deadlines and quality are met, at the highest standard and problems are resolved speedily.
• Working knowledge of CCS Candy is essential
• You will require a valid driver’s license and clear criminal record to qualify for consideration
