Job Position: Quality Controller

Salary: R15 000 pm commensurate with exp and qualification

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Matric
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the motor industry
• Tertiary Qualification in Quality or related fields
• General knowledge of ISO 9001: 2015 and Lean Six Sigma
• Attention to detail
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Problem solving and analytical skills
• Understanding of target market and consumer needs

Teamwork and collaboration

Comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time

Key Performance Areas:

• Resolve quality-related issues adhering to deadlines
• Prepare documentation of the inspection process, which includes detailed reports and performance records
• Recommend improvement measures to the production process to ensure quality control standards are met
• Guide the production team about the quality control issues to enhance the quality of the product
• Monitor customer satisfaction levels
• Monitor the production phase at various levels
• Final QC inspections and sign-off of all builds and conversions
• Production support – methodology and practices
• Project planning – relative to QC Objectives
• Health and safety management
• Staff development and mentorship
• Stock control – quality measures and tolerances
• OEM compliance – relative to QC Commitments
• Staff training and Toolbox Talks
• General housekeeping
