SUMMARY:
Our client in the Manufacturing Industry has an opportunity available for a Quality Controller Analyst based in the Southern Suburbs of Johannesburg.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

National Diploma or Certificate in a scientific/ natural science discipline (with strong chemistry/ Food Technology /Biochemistry content).
Training and experience in Quality (ISO 9001) and Food Safety (HACCP) principles
Demonstrable track record and skills/experience gained within a similar position(s)
Proficient in basic chemistry principles and testing
Proficient in use of basic analytical equipment (Lovibond, NIR, GC, etc.) and the testing of finished products
Demonstrate strong understanding of Quality and Food Safety principles
Experience of working in a GMP environment
Good IT skills e.g. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
First class planning, organisational and time management skills
Ability to work accurately in a busy and demanding environment, adhering to strict deadlines/timescales

Responsibilities:

Sampling and testing of raw materials, intermediates and finished products using company approved methods, and instrumental techniques as appropriate
Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, escalate, and make recommendations on appropriateness of data for release
Investigate or report questionable test results
Complete documentation needed to support testing procedures including data capture forms, equipment logbooks, or inventory forms
Preparing Quality reports, including analytical reports (for raw materials and finished products), Certificates of Analysis (CoA) (for finished products)
Calibrating, verifying, and maintaining analytical equipment, as and when required
Conducting Quality audits and inspections, as and when required
