Quality Controller Analyst

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Manufacturing Industry has an opportunity available for a Quality Controller Analyst based in the Southern Suburbs of Johannesburg.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• National Diploma or Certificate in a scientific/ natural science discipline (with strong chemistry/ Food Technology /Biochemistry content).
• Training and experience in Quality (ISO 9001) and Food Safety (HACCP) principles
• Demonstrable track record and skills/experience gained within a similar position(s)
• Proficient in basic chemistry principles and testing
• Proficient in use of basic analytical equipment (Lovibond, NIR, GC, etc.) and the testing of finished products
• Demonstrate strong understanding of Quality and Food Safety principles
• Experience of working in a GMP environment
• Good IT skills e.g. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• First class planning, organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work accurately in a busy and demanding environment, adhering to strict deadlines/timescales

• Sampling and testing of raw materials, intermediates and finished products using company approved methods, and instrumental techniques as appropriate
• Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, escalate, and make recommendations on appropriateness of data for release
• Investigate or report questionable test results
• Complete documentation needed to support testing procedures including data capture forms, equipment logbooks, or inventory forms
• Preparing Quality reports, including analytical reports (for raw materials and finished products), Certificates of Analysis (CoA) (for finished products)
• Calibrating, verifying, and maintaining analytical equipment, as and when required
• Conducting Quality audits and inspections, as and when required
